Richard S. Kayle (Kowalski), 80, of Brimfield, Ohio, died Sunday, July 3, 2011 in Fairport Harbor, Ohio.
He was born February 25, 1931 in Lorain, Ohio, to Stanley and Frances (Dembek) Kowalski. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a graduate of Kent State University. Richard was employed by the McNeil Corporation as an estimator, and he had also worked for the Gougler Company. He was a member of the Hoban Forever committee and was chairman and served on the Board of Trustees for Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron, Ohio. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Kent and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Sally (Pechulis) Kayle; son, Kevin (Shelley) Kayle of Painesville; daughter, Sheila (John) Wallace of New Albany; grandchildren, Jared Kayle, Tori, Alex and Kate Wallace; brother, Robert (Sue) Kayle of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Kayle; and sister, Kathy Kowalski.
Calling hours will be held 1-3 and 6-8 PM Monday July 11th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM Tuesdayday July 12th at St. Patrick Church in Kent. Private burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, Ohio.
