Richard G. "Squirrel" Pryor, 74 of Kent, died Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Robinson Memorial Hospital.
Dick was born on July 7, 1937, in Grove City, PA to the late Harry Sr. and Mildred (Keck) Pryor. He moved to Ohio in 1960 He was employed as a material handler at Ford Motor Company in Walton Hills for 33 years, retiring in 1986. Dick was also a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the American Legion, VFW, and the Kent Canadian Club. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, cars (especially Fords) and spending time with his grandchildren.
Dick is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda (Hart); daughter, Crystal (David) Coley; and son, Craig Pryor; grandchildren, David Jr. and Devin Coley and Sydney Pryor; bonus grandchild, Jaidyn Sams; and brother and sister-in-law, Harry Jr. and Doris Pryor and many other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Dawna.
Memorial services will be held 3 PM Wednesday September 7th, 2011 at Lake Brady United Methodist Church 1995 Brady Lake Road, Kent, OH 44240 with Pastor Gary Glasscock officiating. Friends received at church one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the church.
