Richard N. Reaser

Richard N. "Rich" Reaser, 73, of Ravenna, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Summa Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls.

He was born August 13, 1939 in Ronceverte, WV to Earl Preston Reaser and Ina (Boyd) Reaser. Richard was a truck driver for Aurora Casket Company. He was a member of Big Brothers of Portage County, the Kent Garden Club, Beckwith Garden Club, Portage County Cancer support group. He was a volunteer for The American Cancer Society.

Richard was an active member of North Point Apostolic Church of Stow-Kent where he was a Sunday school teacher, youth leader, and participated in the choir. He led a Christian life demonstrating love for the Lord through his acts of kindness and letting his light shine to all that knew him. His favorite prayer was the Prayer of Jabez.

He is survived by his sons; Bill (Jayne) Reaser and, Ralph (Tammie) Reaser of Ravenna; daughters, Janet (Salvatore) Dimiceli of Silver Lake, Shizuka (Wataru) Miyazaki of Tokyo; grandchildren, Mallory (Ryan) Hall of Randolph, Morgan Reaser of Ravenna, Auston, Gavin and Logan Reaser of Ravenna, Alexander and Adam Heidt of Silver Lake, Giavanna and Isabelle Dimiceli of Silver Lake, Ryo Miyazaki of Tokyo; brothers, Lee (Patsy) Reaser of Lewisburg, WV, Ralph Reaser of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Mary Burdette of Lewisburg, WV, Helen (Dick) Doing of Streetsboro. He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet (Smail) Reaser, brother, William (Jane) Reaser, sister, Betty (Dallas) Waldron, and brother in law WR Burdette.

Calling hours will be held 2-4 6-8 PM Sunday, December 16th, 2012 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home 628 West Main Street Kent. A memorial Service will be held 10 AM Monday, December 17th, 2012 at North Point Apostolic Church 3544 Verner Road Kent. Ohio 44240, with Pastor Joe Ellis and Pastor Kenneth Tharp officiating. Burial will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church
