Richard M. Schoepe, 37, of Rootstown, died Thursday, July 17, 2014.
He was the most perfect father and husband. He was the assistant coach to his son, Spencer's teams including Ravenna youth wrestling and 11u Brownlee travel baseball. He was not only a coach but their biggest fan. Rick was a huge Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers and Browns fan and was really looking forward to the upcoming seasons. He will be remembered as a hard worker and greatest provider for his wife and twins. He took advantage of every day with his children like going for ice cream, going to movies, waking up at 6am to play catch, fishing, you name it he did it all with them.
He was born February 15, 1977 in Ravenna to Richard and Cynthia Jane (Famageltto) Schoepe. He was employed by Star of the West in Kent.
He is survived by his wife, Farrah (Clifford) Schoepe, whom he married in 2005; son, Spencer Schoepe; daughter, Kyale Schoepe; father, Richard Schoepe of New Mexico; grandmother, Miriam Famageltto; uncle, Chuck Famageltto; favorite aunt, Colleen (Famageltto) Allan Cargould all of Aurora; sister, Megan J. (Chad) Rutter of New Mexico; best friend, Darrell "Dj" Bilby; and numerous nieces and nephews and family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Jane Schoepe; grandfather, Richard F. Schoepe; grandmother, "Mac" Schoepe; and grandfather, Michael L Famageltto.
Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday, July 22nd at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent, OH. Graveside services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, July 23rd at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. In lieu of flowers, the family would request a donation made to Farrah Schoepe Donation Account, c/o any Chase Bank.
