Rita C. Moeller, 96, of Brimfield, died peacefully at home March 30, 2015 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born November 18, 1918 in Brimfield to John and Katharina (Leo) Brooker. She grew up on a celery farm, working hard and living modestly. She will be greatly missed by all of her children. We had the utmost admiration of the life she lived and for the qualities she possessed and also for the values she instilled in us. She loved to play cards, bowl, was an avid golfer up to and through her eighties, enjoyed walking every chance she got and never had missed a single Sunday at St. Patrick Church, until her illness. We were so blessed to have had her for so many fun filled and memorable years. In her final years, we reinforced to her that it was our privilege and honor to be with her at home, giving back a small portion of the love and care she gave to us our entire life. Our memories will sustain and comfort us forever.
She is survived by sons, Richard (Thelma) Moeller, Kevin (Carol) Moeller, Fulton (Linda) Moeller, daughters, Sandy Peterman, Mary (Dave) Halsey, Georgia (Larry) Stein, Bonnie Moeller, Sheila (Ray) Gorham, Kathy (Gary) Parker, Ann (Mark) Stewart, Debbie (Tom) Husser, 41 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard E. Moeller and son, Fred Moeller.
Special thanks to Sarah with Grace Hospice for the gentle care of our mom and the support she gave to us.
There will be a memorial Mass held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Church, 313 N. DePeyster Street, Kent, OH 44240. Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory are handling the arrangements.
