Robert E. Billiter, 59, of Kent, died suddenly Saturday, February 15, 2014 at home.
He was born May 25, 1954 in Ravenna to Robert L. and Elizabeth (Williamson) Billiter. He was a Viet Nam War US Army Veteran. Robert had been the Assistant Parts Manager for Kent Lincoln Mercury and various other dealers before early retirement. He will be remembered as an avid Motorcycle enthusiast and Chaplain for the Blue Knights Chapter #16 in Portage County. He was also an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Notre Dame, and the Oakland Raiders. He loved to coach his son and grandson in baseball.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathryn (Whitacre), whom he married on October 11, 1973; daughters, Kathleen (Doug Adams) Billiter of Louisville and Crystal Billiter of Atwater; son, Robert (Charlene) Billiter of Massillon; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; father, Robert of Brimfield; brother, Gary Billiter of Kent; and numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth. He will be forever remembered and missed by all his family and friends.
