Robert L. Wright, 64, of Kent, died Sunday, November 6, 2016 at UH Portage Medical Center.
He was born December 20, 1951 in Ravenna, to Karl Jones and Printellis Wright. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Robert was employed by the Kent City Schools for over 25 years and was a Supervisor of the Kent Recreational Center. Robert left an impression on anyone he met and was viewed by many as a Pillar of the community.
He is survived by wife, Bernell Mabry of Kent; sons, Shannon (Jennifer Harris) Wright of Kent and Marcus Wright of Stow; daughters, Beanne Clipper of Norton, Jasmine (Miguel Rogers) Wright of Kent, Elizabeth Thomas of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Sergio, Ailyson, Jimmie, Samara, Pierce, Jonathan, Christian, Jashawn, Sevyn, Zanden, Ocean And Damu; ten great grandchildren; brothers, Victor (Dylce) Wright of Akron, Rodney Wright of Akron, Dana Wright of Kent and Luther Jones of Kent; sisters, Melanie McNeil of Akron, Kim Wright of Kent, Patty Jones of Kent, Dorothy Jones of Kent and Cindy Jones of Kent; uncle, Terry (Carol) Wright and Michael Wright both of Kent; aunts, Debbie (Leonard) O'Neil of Akron and Gwen Wright of Kent. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Roberta Wright; parents, Karl Jones and Printellis Wright; brother, Craig Wright; and grandparents, Bennie Lee and Robbie Wright.
Calling hours will be held 10 AM-1 PM Saturday, November 12th at the Kent Roosevelt High School Auditorium in Kent.
