Roberta Stauffer Cooley, 95, of Streetsboro, died Saturday, April 21, 2018, at The Arbors at Streetsboro.
She was born March 24, 1923 in Kent to the late George Joseph and Margueritte Ellen (Jones) Stauffer.
Roberta was a member of Portage Faith United Methodist Church in Mantua, United Methodist Women & Hope Circle, member & past Regent of Old Northwest Chapter of Daughters of American Revolution, and member & past president of The Women's Club of Kent. She was a volunteer for over 40 years at Robinson Memorial Hospital & a member of the Auxiliary of the hospital where she enjoyed crocheting baby blankets for the hospital birth center. Roberta was also a member of Olive Chapter #53 Eastern Star. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Gayle (Bill) Kaczmarek of Mantua, Robin Gay of Streetsboro; and Deborah Kaczmarek of Mantua; grandchildren, Erika (Jeff) Barnett, Nathan Gay, Alicia (Phil) Evans; great grandchildren, Ayden Barnett, and Jaxson Barnett; beloved cat, Mickey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucius B. Cooley in 1996; her sons-in-law, Bill Gay in 1998, and Phil Jones in 2000; brother Caldwell Stauffer; sisters, Mildred Lawrence, Josephine Warmuth, Laura Ellen Miller, and Ruth Berry.
Calling hours will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday, April 27 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 28 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Joyce Hoile officiating. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery.
