Roman C. Syroid, 93, of Twin Lakes, died Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Stow Glen Retirement Center.
He was born March 19, 1921 in Akron to Stanley and Mary (Klus) Syroid. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps during the World War II war. Roman was retired from the Record Courier Advertising Department.
He is survived by his niece, Jolie L. Cowden (Steven) Bell of Bellingham, WA; granddaughter, Eryn A. Smith (nee Bell) of Anchorage, AK, the mother of Sophia and Cooper; and grandson, Christopher R. Bell of Cincinnati, the father of George, Franny, and CJ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise, in 2002.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 3rd at Christ Episcopal Church with Rev. Julie Blake Fisher officiating. Following the services there will be a reception in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christ Episcopal Church of Kent Memorial Fund, 118 S. Mantua Street, Kent, OH 44240 or the Kent Lions Club Eye Program, c/o James Benedict, 1443 River Park Drive, Kent, OH 44240.
