Ronald L. Formick age 66. On March 30, 2012 quietly passed away at home surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband of 46 years to Sheila, a caring father to Robin and Scott (Kerry), and a proud Papa to his grandchildren, Maiya, Connor and Garrett, all of Rootstown. Ron is also survived by his brother Carl Formick(Patricia) of Streetsboro, and his sister Carol Haswell (Tim) of Strasburg, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles and Lottie Formick and sister, Linda Formick Manning. When Ron was not at a sporting event for one of his grandchildren, he enjoyed painting, watching NASCAR, driving his Corvette, and going to Mountaineer Race Track. He shared these hobbies with many good friends. Ron's other great love was baseball. He coached Hot Stove for over 25 years and his proudest moment was when "his boys" won the D-League State Title in 1994. He also sponsored numerous Hot Stove baseball and softball teams as well as many Rootstown Soccer Club teams. Ron was owner and operator of R & S Drywall for over 40 years and Maicon Drywall for 10 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. Those who knew him, knew that he would do anything for anyone. He will be greatly missed.
