Rose gained her angel wings and was promoted to Glory on February 3, 2021. She was born the youngest of nine to immigrant Italians in Chester, Pennsylvania, on July 30, 1931.
Rose was an active and faithful member of the Salvation Army, Chester Corps as a teen and left Chester after high school for New York City to attend Salvation Army Officer Training. Following her training, she was stationed in Canton, Ohio. Her Salvation Army co-cadets, as well as senior officers, remained as lifelong friends.
Between Stow, Hudson, and Kent, Rose raised her three children while working full-time. She enjoyed a long career and retired from Hudson Extrusions. She was formerly a member of the Kent Church of the Brethren and a current member of the Springfield Church of the Brethren.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Michael & Justine DiMaio; her brothers, Andrew, Paul, Daniel, and Michael, sisters, Mary, Elizabeth, Esther, and Lily; and grandson, Maxwell. To honor her memory and spirit are daughter, Karen (Larry) Hamilton, sons, Stephan and David (Lisa); grandson, Jacob (Megan), and great-grandsons, Andrew and Wyatt. Remembering her with great love and affection are many nieces and nephews.
