Rose (Montoni) Montemaggiore, of Kent, passed away on August 11, 2012, at 104 years old.
Rose was one of 15 children born to Marion and Lena Montoni. She cleaned offices for Kent Mold and Manufacturing Company retiring at the age of 84. She was a member of St Patrick Church. Rose prayed the rosary every day and loved her family.
She will be deeply missed by her loving daughters, Jenny Thomas and Mary Dillon of Buffalo, NY, and Patty (Bill) Stelmack of Kent; grandchildren, Gary Thomas, Donna (Joe) Sardo, and Karen (Sharon) Dillon all of Buffalo, NY; great grandchildren, Kelly, Nicole, Deonna, Anthony, Brenna, and Sara; great great grandchildren, Joey, Collin, and Ethan all of Buffalo, NY; sisters, Edith Miller and Theresa Goodhart of Kent; sister-in-law, Mary Montoni; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Sam; grandsons, Norman Jr. and Michael Dillon; granddaughters, Debby Sheffield and Jennifer Stelmack; brothers, John, Frank, Lawrence, William, and Joseph; and
sisters, Lena Ubri, Mary Sullivan, Irene Giovangnoli, Armenia Glod, Helen Swiderski, Thelma Smith, and Ann Montoni.
The family wishes to express a special Thank You to Eileen Everly for the loving and compassionate care she gave our mother. Also the communion ministry of St. Joseph Church in Randolph and Crossroads Hospice, especially Larry, who made every Wednesday special.
Services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home in Kent with Chaplain Bill Eschelmann officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. The Burial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Akron Children's Hospital - Cystic Fibrosis, 214 West Bowery Street, Akron, OH 44308.
