Russell Beckwith Ray, 88, of Munroe Falls, died Monday, November 8, 2010 at home. He was born November 28, 1921 in Brady Lake to Grady and Olive (Beckwith) Ray. He was a veteran of the U S Navy during World War II. He served as a Seabee in the 87th Battalion. He retired from Ford Motor Company where he was a welder. He was a member of St. Patrick Church. He is survived by sons: Timothy (Mary Ann) Ray of Kent, Michael (Kathy) Ray of Kent, Patrick (Linnea) Ray of Kent; grandchildren, Kevin Hays, Daniel Ray, Cody (Jamie) Ray, Kimberly (Michael) Benich, Tami (Michael) Garro, Nicole (Ryan) Coy, Kelli (Daniel) Knop; Great Grandchildren, Grant Garro, Abigail Coy; brothers, Don Ray of Kent, Harry (Joann) Ray of Kent; sister, Patty McKinney of Kent. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Olive (Beckwith) Ray, wife, Patricia L. Ray, daughters, Jacqueline Hays and Nancy Ray. Calling hours will be held 5-7 PM Thursday, November 11th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent.
