Sally Lou Jaap, 84, of Kent, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at the Arbors of Stow.
She was born September 1, 1931, in Kent to George and Gladys (Ebert) Spaine.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald "Jerry" Jaap, whom she married on January 31, 1976; sons, John (Patti) Nelson of Stow, Michael (Trudy) Nelson of Williamsburg, VA, and Thomas (Ellen) Nelson of New Hampshire; daughter, Linda (Arthur) Hanlon of Williamsburg, MI; step-children, Richard G. (Kelli) Jaap of Slatington, PA, Gerald "Jay" (Marci) Jaap of Boliver, and Debra Jobin of Cicero, NY; nine grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her step-son, Ronald Eric Jaap; brothers, George V. Spaine and David M. Spaine, and sisters, Georgia Lee Spaine and Barbara Kubalak.
Calling hours will be held 10-11 AM Tuesday, August 16th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 West Main Street, Kent where funeral services will be held 11:00 AM with Deacon Phillip P. Kamlowsky officiating. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, c/o Alzheimer's Research, 70 W. Streetsboro Street, Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236.
