Samuel Fortunato "Sam" DeBartolo, 75, of Brimfield, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Akron General Hospital Akron. He was born January 10, 1935 in Greensburg, PA to Frank and (Frances) DeBartolo. He retired from Chrysler Twinsburg after 38 years. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and the Methodist Men. He and Hazel managed the Brimfield Community Cupboard since 1980. He is survived by his wife, Hazel (Lopes) DeBartolo, whom he married on November 5, 1952; sons, Samuel (Becky) DeBartolo of Huron, Frank (Diane) DeBartolo of Deerfield; daughter, Mary (Juan) Jimenez of Bonaire, GA; grandchildren, Abigail (Brett) McLaren of Winter Springs, FL, Angela Jesmer and Joshua Spradlin of Bonaire, GA and Samuel DeBartolo of Manitowoc, WI; sisters, Mary Mance of Mt. Pleasant, PA, Jennie (William) Miller of Huron, Josephine Chandler of Jacksonville, FL. and Pauline (Armand) DeRose of Monnesson, PA. He was preceded in death by his son, Eli DeBartolo. Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday, September 9th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home 628 West Main Street Kent. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Friday, September 10th at Faith United Methodist Church Brimfield with Rev. Curt Bissell officiating. Burial will be in Restland cemetery in Brimfield.
