Sharon Marie Brady

October 22, 1944 — February 21, 2011

Sensational mom, devoted daughter, selfless sister, and loyal friend, Sharon Marie Brady, 66, of Mars, Pennsylvania, died Monday, February 21, 2011 surrounded by family and friends. Sharon was a loving mother to Megan Kathleen Frericks, who resides in Marion, Ohio, with her husband Matthew Frericks.

Sharon was born October 22, 1944 in Akron to Robert Keener and Eve
(Tietz) Bissler. While her original roots were planted firmly in Kent, Ohio, "home" became many addresses: San Francisco, California, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Washington D.C., New Orleans, Louisiana, Carmel, Indiana, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

She is survived by her daughter, Megan (Matthew) Frericks of Marion; sisters, Trudi (James) Leddy of New Canaan, Connecticut, Robi (Scott) McIntire of Cincinnati, and Juli (Peter) Dorff of Kent. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Michael Brady in January of 2002; parents, Robert & Eve Bissler; and sister, Laura L. in 1949.

A fabulous gardener, culinary devotee, and a faithful Catholic, Sharon was always ready to enjoy life. She spent her final days at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford, Pennsylvania, secure in their care and sensitivity and appreciative of all of the help of the nurses care along with the many professionals at Allegheny General Hospital's Cancer Center.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, February 24th at St. Patrick Church with Father Richard Pentello officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the services at church. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery. Bissler & Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Contributions can be made to Good Samaritan Hospice in Sharon's name to 3500 Brooktree Rd.
