Shirley J. Graham

Shirley J. Kuzio Graham, 72, of Kent, formerly of West Middlesex, PA, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Tidewell Hospice in Sarasota, FL.
Shirley was born in Sharon, PA on March 28, 1946, a daughter of Michael and Helen Hnida Kuzio.
She was a 1964 graduate of West Middlesex High School. She received a bachelor's degree in 1968 from Edinboro University, and a master's degree in 1986 from Kent State University.
Shirley retired from Berea City School District where she was employed as a Curriculum Coordinator. Previously, she was Director of Curriculum at Streetsboro School System, and prior to that, she taught English and Journalism at Southeast High School in Ravenna, and Windham High School in Windham.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kent, and Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, and Kappa Delta Pi Sorority.
Shirley was married to David J. Graham on July 19, 1980. He passed away on July 28, 2001.
Shirley enjoyed travelling throughout the world, and spending winters at her house in Florida.
She was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Shirley is survived by her two sisters: Janet L. Kunczt of Hermitage, PA and Cheryl L. Kuzio of Niles, and many cousins and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Ann Graham, and two brothers-in-law: Bill and Bob Graham; and her cat, Molly.
Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Kent, with Pastor Douglas Fidler officiating. Burial will be at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.
