Terese Chapman, 62, of Cuyahoga Falls, died Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Summa Akron City Hospital. She was born October 15, 1958 in Ravenna to Raymond and Anne Melchiori (Coughlin). Teri, as she was known to everyone, found joy in a cup of coffee, reading novels and watching her favorite classic shows like the Golden Girls, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Waltons and the Andy Griffith show. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren with whom she resided with in Cuyahoga Falls. She worked for over 30 years at Huntington Bank in both Kent and Streetsboro.
She is survived by her children Gina (John) Yutzy of Cuyahoga Falls, Kyle (Lauren) Sponseller of Huntingdon Valley, PA, grandchildren Jeremiah, Isaiah and Elijah Yutzy, Luke and Leo Sponseller; sisters Debrianna Rhoads-Johnson of Ravenna, Cheryl Swaney of Ravenna and Jennifer (Dennis) Melchiori-Chlad of Kent; brother Ray (Tracy) Melchiori of Aurora; nieces and nephews Curtis (Jamie) Rhoads, Dea (Mark) Busher, Raymond Swaney III, Anthony and Joseph Melchiori, Alayna (Tim) Pallay, Hayley, Ty and Adriana Chlad; aunt Alice Belden; uncle Robert (Marie) Melchiori and several cousins, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Chapman, and nephew Jason Rhoads.
Private services will be held at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent with Fr. Richard Pentello officiating. Private burial will be at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
