Terry L. Wright

On December 14, 2023, Terry L. Wright, 68, of Kent, left this world to meet the Lord. Born on March 2, 1955, in Ravenna to Bennie and Robbie Wright, Terry graduated from Kent Theodore Roosevelt and embarked on a journey that touched the lives of many. Terry was a devoted husband to his wife, Carol, for 38 years. He spent 35 years of his professional life at General Electric until the company's closure. A skilled manager of finances, Terry left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. His dedication to family was evident in the unwavering support he provided to his wife and children.

Beyond his professional life, Terry found joy in sports and music. A self-taught bass player, he shared his musical talents in a youth band, leaving a harmonious legacy. Yet, his greatest passion lay in his faith. Terry had a strong desire to know the Lord, Yeshua, and the true way to serve Him. His life's purpose became sharing this faith with others.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Carol of Kent, and his children: Tamara Wright of Jackson, Florida; Maceo of Ellet, Ohio; Terrence of Jacksonville, Florida; and Robbie of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Tajah, Tyriq, Sofia, Giovanni, Gianina, Gideon, Garnet, Rex, John, and Carden. He is also survived by his siblings: Michael Wright, Debbie (Leonard) O'Neil, and Gwen Wright of Kent, Ohio. Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Robbie and Bennie Wright, brother Roland Metcafe, sister Printellis Wright, nephew Craig Wright, Rodney Wright, and great-nephew Demetrius. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, along with close friends, including Robert O'Neil and Kenneth Grier. One special friend, Camey Brown, shared in the journey of Terry's life. As we bid farewell to Terry L. Wright, may his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire us all.

Funeral Service 12 P.M. SUNDAY December 24th, 2023 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home, 628 West Main St. Kent, OH 44240. Friends may call two hours prior to the service. Private interment at Standing Rock Cemetery.
