Thomas Raymond Hamilton, 73, of Kent, passed away suddenly Wednesday, September 16, 2015. He was born February 8, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Hermann and Elizabeth Hamilton. Tom was proud to have been an alter boy and a paper boy in his childhood. He was a graduate of Kent Roosevelt HS, where he was honored as being the oldest Alumni Basketball Player. Tom stayed active throughout his life; playing in basketball leagues and earning many medals for participation in Track and Field Senior Olympic events. Tom worked 20 years for the Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg before retiring.

Years; brother, Steve Hamilton (Marilynn deceased); sons, Thomas R. Hamilton Jr. (Liz) and Terrence M. Hamilton; grandsons, Blaine, John, Ray, Max; nephew, Steve Hamilton Jr.; and niece Kathleen Mc Vey (Todd). He was preceded in death by daughter Tracey Marie Hamilton.
Tom had a kind and generous heart toward anyone he ever met, had a great love for his family and pets, and enjoyed sports, gardening, and playing cards with his in-laws.
Calling hours will be held 4-8 PM Monday, September 21st at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent, OH. Funeral mass will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 22nd at St. Patrick Church in Kent.
