Thomas K. Hultman, 68 passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 due to complications from Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Tom was born on January 22, 1952. A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Tom lived in the Kent area for many years and worked in corporate communications in the Cleveland area for most of his professional career.
Tom graduated from Boardman High School in 1970 and earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Kent State University. In addition to his professional activities, Tom played guitar and bass and sang in a number of local bands throughout the years.
He was preceded in death by his mother Jeannette K. Scull and father Carl W. Hultman, both of Youngstown. He is survived by his wife Karen Kemp-Hultman and his stepson Nicholas Kemp of Kent.
Tom will be remembered for his love of music and art of all types, his intellect, his quick wit and sense of humor, his gentle spirit, and his love of dogs.
No services will be held at this time. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Portage County Animal Protective League or Madonio Family Animal Welfare Trust. Services in care of Bissler and Son's Funeral Home and Crematory.
