Timothy James Radden, 51, of Kent, died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at his home.
He was born April 1, 1964 in Parma, to William and Arline R. (Pinkas) Radden. Tim was an elementary art teacher for the Akron Public Schools. He was a member of the United States Fencing Association, Northern Ohio Division and the National Art Education Association. Tim was an avid chef and food enthusiast, who was famed among family and friends for his fantastic dishes and legendary parties. He was also a fencer and archer, with a strong interest in medieval and renaissance culture.
He is survived by his wife, Karla M. Kellenberger, whom he married on May 25, 1996; longtime pets, Loge, Saracen, Franz and Mauser; nieces and nephew, Hannah Radden, Julia Radden, Andrew Steinmetz, Lydia Radden, Haylee Steinmetz and Ava Steinmetz; mother, Arline (Pinkas) Radden; brother, Daniel (Erica) Enlow Radden; and sister, Elaine (Jim) Radden Steinmetz. He was preceded in death by his father, William Radden; maternal grandparents, Helen and Frank Pinkas; and paternal grandparents, Edward and Dorothy Radden.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, May 30th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory with calling hours from 2 PM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protective League, 8122 Infirmary Road, Ravenna, OH 44266 or the Tim Radden Memorial Art Fund.
