Victor Harold Gabrielson
KENT - Victor H. Gabrielson, 89, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016.
He was born April 1, 1927 in Lexington Twp., Ohio to Gustav and Selma (Lundgren)
Gabrielson. Victor graduated from Alliance High School and was a Veteran of the
Marine Corps during World War ll.
He married Donna Baker in 1949 and lived in Chesterland, Ohio where he built his
house and raised his family.
Victor was a hard worker, working as a carpenter and then later at Haserodt Tool & Die.
He enjoyed building and refinishing in his spare time. Even though he worked hard, he
still enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and took many trips with family
and friends. He liked fishing most when he was in the company of good friends. He
was a Good Samaritan that never hesitated to help others, especially as caregiver for
his wife Donna.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; brother, Gunnar; sisters, Elsa (Leonard)
Johnson, Ruth (George) Fowler and Hildur Carter.
Victor is survived by his daughters, Susan (Mark) Bentz of Kent, Sandra (Wingate)
Clapper of Pewaukee, WI; grandchildren, David (Jennifer) Bentz and Lee (Ester) Bentz
of Sacramento, CA, Eric Clapper of Pewaukee, WI; great grandchildren, Jocelyn Bentz,
Brooklyn Bentz; sisters, Anna (Wilbur) Lock and Signe (Bill) Johnson; brother-in-law,
Ralph Carter and many nieces and nephews.
Victor's Memorial will be held at 10 am Saturday, November 26th
at St. Stephen Lutheran Church 3725 Kent Road Stow, Ohio 44224,
where Pastor John Corsi will officiate the service.
Interment will be held at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland
at 11 am Monday, November 28th.
