Victor Ignasius Hart, age 52, died Sunday, June 13, at his home in Kent. He was born on May 29, 1958, in Ravenna, to Robert and Katherine Hart. Vic graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School, class of 1976, and the University of Akron. Vic's strong work ethic and gregarious nature served him well in a variety of professional pursuits at places such as WKDD in Akron, Channels 45 and 49, Bryant & Stratton College, Remington College, and Academy of Court Reporting. Vic was a generous and compassionate person who never hesitated to help others. He was interested in his community and ran for Kent City Council more than once. His outgoing personality and keen sense of humor drew others to him. Vic leaves behind his son Robert William, of Akron, his mother Katherine, of Suffield; brothers Robert, David (Lisa), Timothy, Thomas (Lynn), Mark (Cathy), and sisters: Kathy (Robert) Smith, Nancy, Mary, Ellen, Lisa (Mike) Thompson, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, in 1981. Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory are handling the arrangements.
