Victoria Lynn Ciarcia

Victoria Ciarcia, 71, of Kent, OH, passed away on June 14, 2024.  She was known to her loved ones as Vickie.

Vickie loved the outdoors, especially hiking. She enjoyed participating in the Summit Metro Parks hiking spree every fall, often accompanied by her brother Bob. She found joy in the sunshine and cherished spending time in the winters at the ocean in Baja California in Mexico with Bob. It was definitely her happy place. Gardening was another passion of hers. She took great pride in her lawn and growing plants and flowers. Vickie enjoyed her family and friends and she cherished the time spent with them. In her leisure time, Vickie enjoyed reading.

She is survived by her brother, Bob Hursell of Apache Junction, AZ, sister, Terri (Danny) Brunswick and brother-in-Law, Jim Cone of Kent. She also survived by many nephews, nieces and their children. Vickie was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Reed, fathers, Robert Strayer and Harland (Bud) Hursell, and sister, Cheryl Cone.

Vickie attended Kent Roosevelt High School and later pursued higher education at the University of Massachusetts, earning an Associate Degree of Science. Throughout her life, she held various interesting jobs, including being a Manager on the 2nd largest apple orchard in Maine, working as an insurance agent, and finally as a Real Estate Appraiser. Vickie was known for her meticulous work ethic and took pride in everything she did.

A Celebration of Life for Vickie Ciarcia will be held at a later date. Services in care of Bissler and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240.
