Warren G. "Gee" Carden

Warren G. "Gee" Carden, 88, of Stow, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 9, 2011 in Stow, OH.

He was born June 20, 1922 in Elizabethton, TN to Kinch Lo and Maggie Juanita (Collins) Carden. He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran who loved his country and proudly flew his flag every day. He was a member of 781st Bomb Squadron Assn., the Rocton Masonic Lodge 316, Scottish Rite of the Valley of Akron, Tadmor Temple of Akron and the National Rifle Assn.

He is survived by one son: Roger N. (Carolin) Carden of Estell Springs, TN; two daughters: Deanna (Richard) Schaack of Kent, OH, Janet (Thomas) Kaufman of Bedford Hts., OH; grandchildren: Dwayne (Julie) Carden of Key West, FL; Adam Schaack of Oxnard, CA; Brittany Schaack of Louisville, KY; David Schaack of Kent; great grandchildren: Devin Schaack; Linda Shank; one brother: Huey (Sue) Carden of Hampton, VA; one sister: Irene (Hershel) Fleenor of Elizabethton, TN. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Jessie Wilma, and brothers Elmer (Elsie) Carden, Verlin Carden, Herbert (Hazel) Carden, and sister, Stella Mae Carden.

Warren was devoted to his family and he loved the Lord. Patch, his devoted canine companion, stayed faithfully by his side through the end. Warren enjoyed gospel music and is rejoicing with angels in Heaven. Our loss is Heaven's gain.

Calling hours will be held 10:00 - 11:00 AM Saturday, May 14th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Mike Freeman officiating. Burial will be held at Northlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veteran's Association, Wade Park Division, Attn: Voluntary Services (specify Ravenna Location), 10701 East Blvd, Cleveland, Ohio 44106 or RMH Foundation-Visiting Nurse-Hospice, POB 1204, Ravenna, OH 44266-1204.
