Werner Kochte, 82, of Streetsboro, died Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Gardens of Western Reserve.
He was born July 22, 1935 in Hamburg, Germany, to Johannes and Frieda (Knotzke) Kochte. Werner was employed by the Scott & Fetzer Company and Steris as an engineer and inventor. As a result of his work, Werner held several patents for medical equipment He enjoyed flying model airplanes and was a member of the Corsair Model Airplane Club in Kent.
He is survived by sons, Mark Kochte of Marriottsville, Kirk Kochte of Florida, Eric Kochte of Ohio and Todd Kochte of Alaska; step-son, Enrique Torres of Ohio and Fernando Torres of Arizona; brother, Peter Kochte of Germany; and sister, Ingrid Schneider of Germany. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ilicena Biaz Kochte; and parents, Johannes and Frieda (Knotzke) Kochte.
Funeral services will be held 6:00 PM Tuesday, December 12 at F.O.E., 9052 State Route 14 Ste A, Streetsboro. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, C/o Alzheimer's Research, 70 W.
