William Bill Caro

William John 'Bill' Caro, 70, of Stow, died Sunday, February 12, 2017, at Akron City Hospital Medical Center in Akron.

He was born September 11, 1946 in Everett, PA to William Nicholas and Fay Audrey (Minnick) Caro.

Bill was an avid golfer. He loved to travel, and enjoyed volunteering at PGA tournaments. Bill and his hound dog, Faith were a certified team with Therapy Dogs International, visiting nursing homes and libraries. Bill retired from the Schwebel Baking Company in 2008 after 17 years of service, and was currently working part time at Fox Den Golf Course in Stow. He was a Master Mason, belonging to Stow Lodge No. 768, and was formerly a member of the Clown Unit of the Aut-Mori Grotto in Youngstown, OH, using the clown name "Sir-Up".

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Hicken) Caro, daughters, Pam (Dave) Humphrey of Boardman, Carol Jo (Jim) Clark of Everett, PA, Dana (Ken) Morris of Bedford, PA; grandchildren, Nicole Clark, Landon Clark, Ryan Clark;, Evan Morris, Billy Humphrey, Erin Morris, Grace Humphrey. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Caro.

Calling hours will be held 6-8 PM Friday, February 17 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. A masonic service will be held following calling hours. Additional calling hours will be held at 10AM Saturday, February 18, followed by a service at 11AM at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Kim officiating.
