William B. Cook, 86, of Kent, died Monday, January 11, 2010 at the Hospice Care Center in Copley. He was born November 26, 1923 in Kent to Raymond W. and Helen (Bradley) Cook. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps during the World War II. He was employed by Goodyear Tire and owned and operated Cook Plumbing. He was a member of the Kent VFW Post 3703, American Legion Post #496, and Kent Canadian Club. He is survived by his sons, Robert W. (Helen) Cook of Akron, Dale L. (Evie) Cook of Akron, and Jeffrey J. (Karen) Cook of Hudson; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brothers, R. David Cook of Emporium, Pennsylvania, Robert D. Cook of Rootstown, John R. Cook of Charlottesville, Virginia, and Paul F. Cook of Corona, California; sisters, Martha Lee of Kansas, Joan Cook of Lakewood, Colorado, and Irma (Ray) Spaeth of Logan. He was preceded in death by his son, Steve Cook; daughters, Christine Campbell and Kathleen A. DiCicco; sister, Mary Hogan; and brother, James D. Cook. Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-7:45 PM Friday, January 15th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. A brief memorial service will be held at 7:45 PM.
