William Patrick Hall

William Patrick "Bill" Hall, 85, of Ravenna, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, November 12, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital Ravenna. He was born June 23, 1925 in Cleveland, to Mary Hall. He served in the U. S. Navy in WW II. Bill retired from General Electric in Ravenna after 42 years and seven months, as a truck driver. He was a security guard for Pinkerton at Gougler in Kent. Bill enjoyed golf, attending Kent Fest, the Randolph Fair and going out to dinner. His favorite food was Filet Mignon. He is survived by his wife, Wilda (Ballis) Hall, whom he married on July 29, 1972; sons, William J Hall of Kent, Daniel (Chris) Hall of Columbus, David M. Ballis of Larned, KS, Jamie (Dawn) Ballis of Canton, GA; daughters, Janice (Earl) Hogan of Kissimmee, FL, Diane (Jim) Nigh of Pinehurst, NC, Theresa (Stephen) Petersen of Carmel, IN, Sharon (Jim) Hall-Cody of Akron, Nina (Jim) Goodlet of Randolph, BethAnn (James) Tribelhorn of Trimble, MO, Scharlotte (John) Medhurst of Middlefield; sister Noreen (Ronald) Williams of Tucson, AZ, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marie (Rodney) Yates and son Stephen Ballis, Mother, Mary Hall-Jackson-Wiley, and brothers, Lee Jackson, James Jackson, and John Jackson. Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 Wednesday, November 17th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home 628 West Main Street in Kent. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 18th at Water Street Church 1541 S. Water Street, Kent, OH 44240 with Pastor Denny Fox officiating. Burial will be in Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. Memorial contributions may be made to Water Street Church.
