William Lewis Sr.

On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, William A. Lewis Sr. passed away at the age of 69 years. Bill was a long-time resident of Kent, Ohio, with strong family ties in the area. Bill will be remembered by his son and daughter-in-law Bill Jr. and Shauna Lewis; sons Jason and Matt Lewis; grandsons, Austin and Tyson Lewis and Brett Baker Jr; granddaughters, Haylie Rybak, Jadah, Jewel, Tristin, Teagan and Talia Lewis and Taylor Baker; great granddaughters, Kelsey Gerber, Brexley Rybak and Remi Baker; great grandsons, Brooks Rybak, Blade Baker, Noah Baker and Vinny Barnes. 

 He was preceded in death by his daughter Tracy Baker; sister Bette Haas; brother Robert Lewis; and parents, Kathleen and Henry Lewis.

 Bill spent most of his professional life in manufacturing, where he worked as a plant supervisor for Parker Hannifin. 

 An avid sports enthusiast growing up, he participated in both baseball and football, winning 2 metro baseball championships at Theodore Roosevelt High School. As an adult he continued his love of baseball, playing well into his 50’s with the Kent Mudhens, formulating many friendships and a lifetime of memories. 

 Calling hours will be Wednesday, November 27, 2024 from 5:00-7:00PM at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240.
