William D. Visca
William D. Visca, 78, of Kent, died Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital in Akron.
He was born February 10, 1933 in Kent, to Anselm and Carrie O. (Ramicone) Visca. Billy was a veteran of the Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed as Mail Carrier in Kent 31 years and Gougler Industries 7 1/2 yrs. and the Record Courier. Billy was a member of St. Patrick's Church and the Knights of Columbus # 1411 in Kent, the Kent American Legion, Capt. Brady VFW Post 3703 and the Ravenna Moose #1234.
He is survived by sisters, Delores (Joe) Repa of Warminster, PA, Elizabeth "Betty" MacEwen his twin sister of Stow, Marguerite Cigolle of Girard, Joan (Jerry) Linnen of Westfield Center and Judith (Bill) Foster of Lodi; and sister-in-law, Helen Visca of Kent. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Visca; parents, Anselm and Carrie Visca; brother, Albert Visca; and sister, Jean Lombardi.
Calling hours will be held 6-8 PM Wednesday, April 6th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory in Kent, where funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, April 7th with Father Richard Pentello officiating. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 9187, Akron, OH 44305. The Knights of Columbus service will be held Wednesday, April 6th at 5:45 PM.
