Angela (Stripparo) Panetta

Angela Panetta, 91, of Kent, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024.  She was born in Crotone, Italy on January 1, 1933 to the late Luigi and Carmella Stripparo and came to the United States in 1970.  She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, was very active and enjoyed gardening and walking.  Angela was a wonderful seamstress and could fix anything.  She was a great cook and would have family dinners every Sunday.  Angela was a true matriarch and will always be remembered as a very kind and feisty woman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rocco Panetta on October 20, 2008; her daughter Maria Panetta and seven siblings.

She leaves her children, Leo Panetta, Rosa (David) York and Pattie (David) Dempsey; grandchildren, Cory York, Anthony (Stephanie) York and Nicholas Panetta; and step grandchildren Maryn and Jacob Dempsey.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Crossroads Hospice for the wonderful care given to Angela.

Funeral Services will be Friday, September 13, 2024 at 4:30PM at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 3:00-4:30PM on Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in her name, to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr. Suite E, Uniontown, OH. 44685.
