Robert “Bob” Coy, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2022. He was blessed with 93 years. Bob resided in Kent, but he was proud to have grown up in Brady Lake. He had many interesting stories he loved to tell about his childhood. Memories about the old Brady Lake amusement park and fishing for dinner in Brady Lake during the great depression were some of his favorites to tell.
Bob was a Korean War Veteran and was stationed in Germany as a tank operator. He also loved to tell about his experiences in the service to any listening ear and was very proud to have served his country. He retired from Ametek Lamb Electric after 40+ years of employment.
Bob really enjoyed time on the lake and was a master at fly fishing. He was a very easy going, likeable person who was known for his great and very ornery sense of humor, even up until the end.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Coy and is survived by his Daughter Cheryl Armstrong (Dan), Son Robert Russel Coy (Tracey), Step-Son Frankie McCallie (Janie). He also leaves behind five Grandchildren and five Great Grandchildren.
Bob will be honored with a graveside military service that is open to family and friends on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 2:00PM at Standing Rock Cemetery, 1361 N.Mantua St. Kent OH, 44240
